Sunday we were across at the airport and checking in. An hour or so in the large, smart lounge (there wasn't much to do in the airport). Then a 4 hour LATAM flight to Sao Paulo. Crossing the Andes was very interesting.
After that we crossed the dry Argentinian interior and some farm country, eventually crossing into Brazil where there were lakes and farm country mixed with increasing amounts of forest. We got to Sao Paulo (a large, sprawling city, quite attractive from the air) and landed around 5pm.
We didn't have as much time in Sao Paulo, but long enough to rest and freshen up. Then a 10 hour Swiss flight to Zurich. We slept for most of this flight, which flew North East over part of Brazil then over the Atlantic, curving into Europe just south of Brest. The French countryside was hazy and we couldn't see much until descending into Zurich.

| Leaving Sao Paulo |
We arrived at around 1pm, cleared customs quickly and were picked up by Tom. Then a couple of hours to get to Herne Bay, where we are now settling in.
