Day 20&21 - Fjords

These two days have been spent sailing up the West coast of Chile. It has really been a highlight of the holiday, though it's hard to convey that. We are constantly surrounded by cliffs, waterfalls, mossy hillsides and small rocky island. It is all very beautiful and feels remote and untouched. Unfortunately, the photos just look lumpy and grey.

But highlights included the Amalia Glacier.

By evening we had worked our way out of the fjords, South of Isla Wellington and Isla Mornington. The weather was wet, windy and rough and has largely stayed that way every since.

After travelling a couple of hundred kilometres North through the Pacific Ocean, we sailed East into the Darwin Channel - though it was so foggy that we were some way in before we realised. We have since turned North again, and while we are still protected by the islands the seas are at a couple of metres and it is as rough as the open ocean. No photos of the scenery today, but I'll include this seasonal photo to close.
